Collection of artwork from Willow Gallery

Submissions
This is an online process from 12th January 2025 to 12th April 2025.
You may submit up to 4 works that must be predominantly textiles and include hand and/or machine stitching.
There may also be a mixed media element to the work and it can be 2D or 3D.
Preference will be given to work not previously exhibited.
Only artworks from artists living and working in England, Scotland and Wales may be submitted.
Unfortunately due to import costs and restrictions we are unable to accept artworks from overseas
Preparing work
All 2d works must be framed, glazed (preferably non reflective glass) or unglazed with a mount and/or frame of a professional standard. No perspex .
All works must have mirror plates attached centrally on the vertical sides.
3D works must have an anchor point so they can be secured on a plinth.
All work must be clearly labelled on the back and with a swing ticket with name of artist, title, media and price which is to include the gallery commission of 35%.
All work must be for sale

Under 60cm on longest side - £15
Over 60cm on the longest side - £30
3D plinths - £30
Important Dates

Applicants will be notified by 5th May 2025.
Acceptance Criteria
Acceptance into the Stitch By Stitch Exhibition 2025 at The Willow Gallery, Oswestry will be by invitation or selection by a panel of experienced artists/curators.
Work will vary in theme and style and it is the intention of the panel to curate an exhibition of fine art textiles that will excite and deliver a coherent message.
Unfortunately we are limited for space so there may be work of a high standard which is not chosen as it is similar in style to work already well represented.
The panel have the final word.
This is a not for profit exhibition and all monies will be used to create an exciting exhibition and textile event.
Dates For Delivery And Collection
Delivering Work
Deliver in person preferably please.
Hand in day is Sunday, 29th June 2025 from 10am to 12pm at The Willow Gallery, Oswestry.

All unsold work must be collected by 5th September 2025.
Please do not submit your work without knowing how you will get it to the gallery.
Sharing Delivery and Collection
There maybe opportunities for artists delivering work from a particular area to share delivery and collection.
We will endeavour to put you in touch closer to the time if you wish.
Postal/courier
Collection service/ delivery (by Royal Mail or Evri for example) is acceptable only by prior arrangement with the organiser
Work will be only be accepted and returned by mail/courier by prior agreement.
We do not have a team of packing angels so if you can, in person please.
Insurance
Artists are responsible for their own insurance while work is in transit and in the gallery.
You must have public liability insurance for exhibiting.
Publicity
The Exhibition Administrators may reproduce participants artwork for use in publicity where appropriate.
Any images will be strictly used in correlation with the show and not for resale.
